Meeting each week on Sundays to worship and share in the Lord's Supper is a meaningful spiritual practice. But we also believe that we are called to walk in a depth of community and relationship with and alongside each other: that we take seriously Romans 12:15, sharing in each other's celebrations and loss. This is what happens in Community Groups; this is where we do the guts of life together. Each group has its own flavor and structure- but each is committed to relational safety, authenticity, and pursuing spiritual health. Each group happens to be in the general Montrose area.
Mondays I 7pm
Description: Women Only Join us Monday evenings for a time of connection, compassion and authenticity as we dig into short, weekly devotionals that encourage awareness and self-reflection. Our primary goal is that we nurture a space where everyone feels safe to engage their story with raw honesty and respect.
Wednesdays | 7pm
Description: Co-Ed We are using Brian D. McLaren’s devotional, “We Make the Road By Walking” as a catalyst for the reorientation of our lives to become more fully alive in God and with one another. The next (4) months will be focused on becoming alive in the adventure of Jesus. The Chapters are very small and include reflection questions for group discussion and activation questions to be explored throughout the week. Each chapter can be read autonomously from the whole book and still allow for engagement with the group. This is a safe environment and all are welcome including those who are seeking or are outside the Canvas Community. We begin to gather at 7:00 PM on Wednesdays and usually enter into an optional time of laid back community at 8:30.
